Set up shipping: couriers, tiers, and rates
Before you start: save your pickup address
Go to Dashboard > Settings (sidebar Customize group) and scroll to the Pickup Address section. Settings is one scrolling page — there is no "General" tab. Enter your address, city, state, a 5-digit postcode, and a Malaysian phone number, then save. Courier rates cannot be fetched until your pickup postcode and state are saved.
Open the Shipping page
In the sidebar Manage group, click Shipping. The page is titled Shipping Settings and has two tabs: Couriers and Shipping Tiers. You never enter an EasyParcel API key — JomJual handles that at the platform level.
Couriers tab: fetch and enable couriers
Click Fetch Couriers (or Refresh Rates if you have fetched before) to pull sample prices from your pickup address. Use the filter buttons All / Malaysia / Singapore to browse by region. Tick Enabled for each service you want to offer, then click Save Courier Settings. A courier must be enabled here before it can be linked to a shipping tier.
Shipping Tiers tab: create the options customers see at checkout
Click Add Tier, give it a name, and set a flat price per zone: West Malaysia, East Malaysia, and an optional Singapore price. Tier prices are flat per zone — not weight-based. A price of RM 0.00 is shown to customers as "Free".
Courier tier vs self-managed tier
Leave Self-managed — I arrange delivery myself unchecked for a courier tier, then tick one or more couriers under Linked Couriers. At checkout, JomJual auto-picks the cheapest enabled courier linked to the tier. Check the self-managed toggle to deliver yourself — no courier is booked and no label is generated for that tier.
Is EasyParcel mandatory?
No. You can run entirely on self-managed tiers (own delivery, in-store pickup, or free shipping) without enabling any couriers. Singapore is opt-in: a tier only ships to Singapore if you set a Singapore price above RM 0.00.
- Pickup address (5-digit postcode + state) must be saved before courier rates can be fetched.
- Tier prices are flat per zone; East Malaysia covers Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.
- Disabling a courier removes it from all tiers and prevents it from being booked.
- Saving tiers replaces your full tier list — unsaved changes are discarded.
- Sample rates shown in the Couriers tab are a guide (averaged at 1 kg) — the customer pays the actual rate calculated at checkout.
