Check image storage and remove unused uploads

Images you replaced or removed from a page can still use storage. The storage tool helps identify unused uploads.

Step by step

1. Open Settings → General and find Image storage.
2. Review usage, then choose Scan unused images. Wait for the scan result.
3. Review the number of unused images and potential space savings. Recent uploads may be left alone.
4. Choose the deletion action only when you are ready to remove those unused files. Scan again if you need to review remaining usage.

Before you finish

Download a separate copy of any source image you want to keep before deleting it. If an upload fails, check its file type, size and remaining storage rather than repeatedly uploading the same file.
